maybe autumn, maybe winter

BY: JAKE PRICE

the leaves find faith  every season

before they change  from green

to orange  to dead

I’m left without foliage  in a matter of months

where am I to hide  these spiraling thoughts

now when I look up  amongst bare branches

I see steel grey skies  that are reaching

praying to someone  for something

maybe spring  maybe summer
